Today's song of the day is Z Toki wo Koete from mobile suit zeta gundam! busy lately so we gotta resort to posting anime osts. anyways this song is so peak. it geuinely gets me so excited everytime i watch zeta gundam and this is the first thing that starts playing. yo that first 10 seconds is genuinely so raw. so cold. just pure aura. the fade in with the title and mk ii. its actually so raw. can u believe american singer songwriter neil sedaka is the culprit behind one of gundam's most awesome bangers. he composed this song.

btw if anyone cares zeta gundam has been really fun to watch. i think its a bit more enjoyable than msg 0079. i love kamille. shout out to kamille bidan for having blue hair and pronouns and being the first and only canonically autistic character in all of anime thats my goat. i already know hes gonna be one of my fav chars ever

I HATE MY VOICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i hate my voice!!!!!!!! i swear!!!!! 90% of my social anxiety stems from how quiet my voice is. i cant tell you how many times i got talked over or ignored because people couldnt hear that i was talking!! also i just dont like the way my voice sounds. its so slow and baby-ish im gonna kms. 

sometimes i talk so quiet that even i question if i actually said something or not. i had so many instances of where i tried to talk to someone and they ignored me and a few seconds later im like did i say something??

Today's song of the day is Bien by Yukiko Okada! yukiko okada has such a cute nostalgic highschool, hanging out with your friends, days type of songs. it feels so nice and familiar and comforting.

Today's song of the day is Matryoshka by Kenshi Yonezu (Hachi in his vocaloid days) but i put the mafumafu cover because this the best ver of the song! a banger from the past. mafumafu's cover of matryoshka is so good he cooked. all the different voices he puts on just fits so perfectly with the chaotic tone of the song. so weird and experimental in a way. the goofy adlibs he puts in between some of the lyrics and that raw scream at the end so peak. its just so fun to listen to. the best version of this song idc.

did u guys know mafumafu made a new cover of matryoshka and omg the downgrade is insane. all the weirdness is gone from the original and he turned it into a generic j-rock song </3 i do not like the contrast between his deep voice and high pitched voice. its too cute for a song that was meant to be weird. the part at 2:25 so bad what happened to all that buildup he did in the original. in the old ver, it had so much energy it was like he was commanding an entire room. this one. nothing...

literally all the flavor from the original lost. actually tragic. the only part i like is the part in the bridge at 2:38. i do like the instrumentals there but everything else is so ass omg... and that scream at the end has 0 emotion bro fell off so hard.

does anyone else also feel nothing when they receive a compliment or is that just me. i see so many people say that when they get a compliment, they think abt it the entire day and be happy all day. but when i get a compliment im just like thx and then go back to doing whatever i was doing. i dont even get compliments often either like once in a blue moon and everytime i get one im like ok. is anyone else like me or am i psychopath

Today's song of the day is Smooth Operator by Sade! cant stop thinking abt this song cuz of that one char aznable edit i saw. theres something magical abt 90s jazz and rnb. the smooth operator beat drop is so good. its so smooth like the song.

finished mobile suit gundam 1979

holy peakk....

it was actually unironically so good for a show that came out in 1979. especially ep 41 man that was just so... amazing...

anyways idk how to review bruh idk how to say this but this show has the same feeling as like mob psycho 100 or undertale where you know there are definitely better written shows/movies/games out there but its a story that was truly written with heart and care. 

theres just something so human about gundam like idk what. a lot of war bad stories have moments and scenes where they show the characters humanity by realizing that theyre all just people fighting for nothing but idk something hit different with gundam. 

i really love how gundam doesnt truly have a bad side and a good side. like there are characters like gihren whos just straight up a dictator but every other character is just a human being trying to live. the only bad things are the systems/governemnt/federation that force these characters to fight for a meaningless cause.

even tho the protagonist is on the earth federation side, the characters on the neo zeon side are never really portrayed as like evil people who just do evil stuff for fun. there are actually so many moments where they show that the people of neo zeon are just humans like everyone else. like that one scene where a neo zeon soldier gets worried about a widowed woman and her son traveling on a vast desert so they airdrop food and water to them. i like that. 

i only wish the female characters like mirai and fraw had more screentime/were treated better. like why did mirai fall in love with a man who literally slapped her across the face. and fraw bow is literally just a girl. like she does housework stuff and thats it. and also LALAH i wish she got a backstory and more character moments bro.. she is my 2nd fav character of the show. shes so interesting i wish she was more than just a symbol. i heard she gets a backstory in gundam: the origin. i need to get on that real quick

also i wish there were a few less mobile suit fights in space. I KNOWW the show is literally called mobile suit gundam. but theres a fight in space literally every episode that are lowkey kinda boring and i think it wouldve been better if they were replaced by episodes with actual character interactions instead because the character interactions in this show are the best part methinks. like i wanna see these characters hang out and have fun plss i know they in a war but theyre all teenagers man let them rest. 

also the newtype stuff was so interesting. it was so wonderful. i love that they picked empathy as the greatest thing a human can achieve. like the next path for human evolution isnt super strength or super speed but empathy. that is so beautiful <3

anyways very good show very peak i love it and also it was really pretty as well

Today's song of the day is The Great Curve by the Talking Heads! this is one of my fav talking heads songs ever. a genuine masterpiece i fear. just so enchanting it makes you want to join in on the singing. an exciting guitar solo in between verses and i love the way david byrne sings here. that weird tone voice is just so good to listen to. shessss moving by remote control i love that part. and how all the harmonies blend together and become louder and louder yeah its peak.

i just suddenly remembered abt this random artist that used to be a huge inspiration for like 2018-2019 me. their name was pyohato and they had a series called nebulamancers (i never got into it tho. i dont think it was like an actual series tho it was just a story idea they had and a few ocs)

there was a wiki for pyohato / nebulamancers but it got deleted :( only thing i remember abt nebulamancers is that the characters were all based on planets and thats it lmao

but anyways look at their art

their art is just so pleasant to look at. it just puts a smile on my face fr. its just so clean and just pretty to look at. their character designs were so good too. i remember i tried copying their artstyle kinda when i was a kid and they were just a huge inspiration to me. they deleted all their socials tho so its hard to find their art online anymore :( pyohato we miss you

nirvana kinda mid tho ngl every song kinda similar. intro starts with that heavy guitar sound always and then the chorus kurt cobain screams or just repeats the same thing over and over again. i listened to all three of their albums and they only have a few bangers i fear

did u guys know i love talking heads. i bet u didnt know. but anyways i love talking heads so much actually. fav band ever. listening to them genuinely inspires me like i wanna learn more abt music and music theory and listen to more music outside of my own comfort zone and learn how to play instruments again. 

they have actually made me appreciate music more. they made me see that music is more than just entertainment for ur ears more than something to put in the background... its art... i love you weird experimental music i love you 6+ minute songs. i may not like all of them but its all art that people created like wow guys isnt that so beautiful and amazing. music is so powerful
