Today's song of the day is APRIL STARS by Akina Nakamori! boi im listening to all my favs again. my showa idol phase is so back everyone. been listening to akina and julie so much im gong insane. i forgor how good this album is. nothing extraordinary but its just full of bangers. also a very good deviation from her previous albums where it was just pretty much standard orthodox idol songs.

Today's song of the day is 十戒 (Ten Commandments) by Akina Nakamori! ive been listening to akina so much lately omg. i think im finally getting a taste of her sound. anyways this song is so cool. i love the pre chorus so much. also i was kinda surprised this song was composed by masayoshi takanaka i dont think it really sounds like something he would write aside from the guitar solo that part is definitely him.

  

LOVE THIS LIVE!!!! i always prefer it when there's a live band or orchestra playing it sounds so much better to me. all the individual instruments sound much more livelier! and akina sings with so much emotion whenever shes live

God this song... i love this song so much. i think it encapsulates the pain of being a teenager so well. this song feels like being a teenager who just had their first breakup and is walking alongside the beach all alone while listening to music at night

i also love the artistic choice of having the singing be muffled it fits so well with the song. truly creates a feeling of tuning everything out and just drowning in ur music and emotions. i love the lyrics. i love the part where there are only instrumentals it sounds so nostalgic. its so beautiful gorgeous and emotional. i love everything abt this song omg. literally top 5 akina songs of all time. Today's song of the day is 少女A (Shoujo A or Girl A) by Akina Nakamori! The lyrics are something else 💀but the song itself is pretty fun. akina has a lot of these like kind of rock-type songs (kinda idk its still very pop but yknow). one of her biggest hits during her early career go akina!

also fun fact!! this song was originally supposed to be Kenji Sawada's song but he turned it down (because the lyrics were very weird 💀) so the dudes who made this song gave it to akina instead and she accepted but she hated this song so bad lol. tbh i wouldve hated it too

anyways very nice song! very summery, feel-good vibe! love the bass

also trying to go through akina's discog rn and i only listened to 3 albums including this one but this album might be her best one. Lots of very good songs on this one, her previous albums were kinda lacking to me tbh (might be harsh cuz like i said, i only listened to 3 albums including this one my opinion might change later) a lot of the songs felt a little too ehhh for me. but this album "Bitter and Sweet" has quite a few unique songs and i love every single one!
