Today's song of the day is Found a Job by the Talking Heads! PEAKK!!!! this is definitely one of the catchiest talking heads songs ever. that rhythm is soo good. ESPECIALLY that part at 3:15 to the end hollyy. such a banger. rhythm guitar with that one note melody is so catchy.

ena has a lot of ymo references like these ones. i might get into it just because of that tbh. i remember watching the very first ena video that joel g uploaded and i was kind of into it but i never really delved deep into the lore i watched auction day the day it released and extinction party and temptation stairway and thought they were cool but then forgot abt it for a while. but now the ena hype is back with the new game!

also ena has talking heads references too! nice!

also stuff like ena, ymo, and the talking heads appeal to a very specific certain group of people i swear. and im one of them. i would also throw in retro animes in there too. ive seen multiple people online who share almost the same interests as me.

like people who love art and music (probably new wave, electronic, post-punk, and art pop), loves retro aesthetics and clothing, and probably autistic

Today's song of the day is Take Me to the River by the Talking Heads! first album of the month babeyy. yes i still havent listened to the entirety of talking heads discography (fake fan). this song is soo funky listen to that bassline so deep. i loved this album. they improved a lot from their first album. sounds way more funkier and unique

thinking abt this must be the place again

thought abt this song recently again... it makes me want to cry... i relate to it a lot. feeling numb and broken and unlovable. and then learning to love and be loved eventually and it just feels so uncomfortable and weird. it breaks my heart... 💔💔💔i love the lyric: home is where I wanna be but I guess im already there. i love this idea of home being people that love you. and the lyrics where it also says i feel numb, born with a weak heart, i guess i must be having fun i relate to a lot with just forcing myself to look happy or atleast somewhat ok. 

ive been feeling down again. even if something good happens to me its only for a fleeting moment that ill forget about later. everyday i feel numb most of the time and feel like nothing will ever change and ill always stay the same horrible person who gets jealous of other people finding love. but this song brings me some comfort. it really feels like a warm hug. i hope i can find my home someday. i dont think i deserve it right now. atleast i got the talking heads with me

Today's song of the day is Pull up the Roots by the Talking Heads! another talking heads song whos surprised. this might unironically be one of my most fav talking heads songs ever. idk its simple but so good to listen to. i love the intro, i love the rhythm guitar so funky, i love the cowbell, and that drop at 2:17 is so catchy. that drum and the bass and the synth so good. and david byrne's voice is so loud i love it so much. and that ending. i love this song so much

Today's song of the day is The Great Curve by the Talking Heads! this is one of my fav talking heads songs ever. a genuine masterpiece i fear. just so enchanting it makes you want to join in on the singing. an exciting guitar solo in between verses and i love the way david byrne sings here. that weird tone voice is just so good to listen to. shessss moving by remote control i love that part. and how all the harmonies blend together and become louder and louder yeah its peak.

did u guys know i love talking heads. i bet u didnt know. but anyways i love talking heads so much actually. fav band ever. listening to them genuinely inspires me like i wanna learn more abt music and music theory and listen to more music outside of my own comfort zone and learn how to play instruments again. 

they have actually made me appreciate music more. they made me see that music is more than just entertainment for ur ears more than something to put in the background... its art... i love you weird experimental music i love you 6+ minute songs. i may not like all of them but its all art that people created like wow guys isnt that so beautiful and amazing. music is so powerful

Today's song of the day is This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody) by the Talking Heads! this has gotta be my favorite talking heads song oh my god. and thats crazy cuz every talking heads song is a 10/10. i love the lyrics. it feels so sad but also lovely. and also this song really sounds like it couldve come out this current year in 2025. thats amazing

I feel like crying everytime i hear this song. its so simple but its so comforting. it feels like seeing ur family again after not having seen them for a long time and they give you a warm hug or going on a long road trip alone to get away from the place thats been stressing you and finding new paths for your life. 

Unironically one of my favorite songs ever of all time. I love you so much talking heads. they have been inspiring me so much lately. i want to start on my old hobbies again. i feel like making music and learning guitar again. except i wanna try learning bass this time.

Today's song of the day Born Under Punches (The Heat Goes On) by the Talking Heads! when i post every song by the talking heads on here >>>> anyways this song is so good im gonna cry. the main melody has a little melancholic hint to it its so interesting... it draws me in... and that solo at 2:43 omgg broo they were doing anything brahh. i love it so much whenever they just be doing the most weirdest stuff ever. I LOVE TALKING HEADS!!!!!!!

Today's song of the day is Girlfriend Is Better by the Talking Heads! best song ever btw. when that synthesizer comes in at 0:38 u know peak is abt to start. and that weird ass solo in the middle at 2:46 so weird so unique!!! i love it so much. and that bassline and that beat at 4:23 actual peak. its such an earworm i swear!!! i had this song on repeat for days now.

Today's song of the day is Making Flippy Floppy by the Talking Heads! absolute peak. that bass is truly something else. god what a bassline. so groovy. i love how they stretch that last note at the end. and that violin solo at 2:43 so psychedelic. why did nobody tell me the talking heads were this good holy mother of peak i love music

Today's song of the day is Houses in Motion by the Talking Heads! listened to this album for the first time yesterday and ppl were actually right. this album goes so crazy. just so weird and unique. its so incredible. this one is one of my favs off the album. that bass and those trumpets are so great. almost sounds like a desert theme. but also how tf did they get the trumpet to sound like that.
