Today's song of the day is あの虹をつかもう(Let's grab that rainbow) by The Spiders! i lovee the spiders im a fan now. obsessed with the trumpets in this one. love the introduction with that loud and energetic ensemble of trumpets and drums. What a cool transition in the chorus at 1:07 to 1:42. from soft and quiet harmonica to classic rock and roll. awesomed.

not me watching steven universe in the year of 2025. anyways i wanted to watch it cuz i wanna feel nostalgia and also i actually never completely watched the whole thing just a few episodes from like 2015. 

my fav is amethyst rn

right now i have nothing to say abt it cuz i literally watched 1 episode but i never got the hate this show got for its artstyle. i genuinely think steven universe is one of the best looking cartoons ever. like i love the thickness of the lineart and how flowing everything is. i like how expressive the characters are and i really dont care abt that height consistency that everyone was complaining abt. i actually like it better when things arent really drawn correctly it gives it so much charm. like wow these drawings were really made by humans werent they.

one thing that i do really like abt steven universe tho is that the main cast feel like they should not be together like 3 grown alien space women and 1 13 year old boy + his dad living together is just such an unconventional dynamic but i love it.

Today's song of the day is ハートの扉 (The Door to the Heart) by Maiko Okamoto! yo i just listened to this album yesterday and its so good its so gorgeous. This song is the first on the album and man its such a good introduction. All the other songs on the album are very upbeat bubblegum pop music so i like that the first song is a bit slower and calmer while still having that grand feeling like the exposition to a story about love and tragedy. man that part where everything crescendos right as the chorus hits is so good. Maiko's voice is so loud and dramatic its so beautiful.

Today's song of the day is 十戒 (Ten Commandments) by Akina Nakamori! ive been listening to akina so much lately omg. i think im finally getting a taste of her sound. anyways this song is so cool. i love the pre chorus so much. also i was kinda surprised this song was composed by masayoshi takanaka i dont think it really sounds like something he would write aside from the guitar solo that part is definitely him.

  

LOVE THIS LIVE!!!! i always prefer it when there's a live band or orchestra playing it sounds so much better to me. all the individual instruments sound much more livelier! and akina sings with so much emotion whenever shes live

mp100 changed my life man

idk how many posts im gonna make abt how mp100 changed my life but i cant stop

mp100 is sooooo lifechanging. omg. i love mob psycho 100 so much man. there are so many scenes that just touched my heart and made me believe that things are gonna get better.

i was having a very bad day and so i thought abt the very final arc of the series and man reigen's words to mob got me sobbing bro. it really inspired me. it made me feel so seen oh my goud. i feel like i have nobody who i can talk to abt my problems. but then i remember reigen exists and i imagine myself as mob getting advice from reigen. mp100 is my therapy. 

you will always be famous mob psycho 100 i love you so much. you reside a special place in my heart.

I love this scene from mp100 so much. its one of my favorites from the entire show, it might even be my most favorite scene. 

mob is so kind it makes me sick oh my god. mob helping out emi (the girl), who hes only hung out with a few times, by picking up the pieces of the story paper that her friends ripped up because he has such strong core values. him saying you need to pick up things that you feel are important shows how much he cares for emi and the story she made and highlights mob's greatest strength which is kindness. when the papers fly away because of the wind emi tells him that its ok and that she can just rewrite it but mob my goat uses his psychic powers to retrieve every little piece of paper. goud its such a small act of kindness but it really leaves an impact on you. i wish i could be even half as kind as mob

idk why but every few months i get obsessed with cobra kai again. i dont know why 😭i cant escape this show bruh. its so bad but its the most funniest show of all time im not even joking. its so entertaining. can u believe they had a literal karate war and some kid actually died (not joking) all because 2 middle aged men cant get over the rivalry they had as teenagers 40 years ago. not even just that some kid broke their spine, another 70 year old man broke out of jail just to enter a kid's karate tournament, literal vietnam war flashbacks that serves as reasoning as to why these 2 70 year old men are traumatizing kids via karate, a middle-aged man is put in a dungeon in a cage with other dogs in cages. this show is not real bro 💀💀

i was playing tower defense simulator on roblox today with 3 random strangers. but the thing is i havent played in nearly like 3(?) years and the game has updated so much. it was barely recognizable to me and i didnt know anything abt the game. so i asked the server for help and they were all so nice. they never talked down on me and actually helped me understand the game and gave me tips. 

i love having positive experiences on online video games. it is so much fun when people arent hurling slurs at you and just being nice and having fun.

finished reading mob psycho 100

well happy new year everyone!!! just got done reading mp100 and man is it such a beautiful series. its a simple story but its so heartwarming

mob is one of my favorite characters ever now. he has small goals and motivations but he is just so kind. he truly takes his values to heart. mob never thinks hes better than anyone for having psychic powers and instead focuses on strengthening other parts of his character. he works so so hard to better himself as a person, not using his psychic powers. mob is such an inspirational character man...

speaking of characters, every other character is so great as well. reigen is also a new favorite. is it bad that i relate to a 27 year old man whos only friends with middle schoolers. maybe but anyways reigen is so funny i love him. hes a scheming con artist and lies a lot but also a great mentor to mob and does truly care abt him. i love their relationship so much.

all the other characters, even the side characters, get a chance to shine as well which is so awesome. they all feel like real human beings who i care abt. i love you dimple. i love you tome. i love you body improvement club. i love you ritsu. i love you shou. i love you serizawa. 

everyone is so kind to mob. they all encourage him and cheer him on despite the fact that he might be physically weak or he doesnt have very good social skills. it makes me so happy.

also this series is actually so funny. i actually laughed out loud at times during certain scenes.

WAIT!!!! i got some criticisms tho. i thought some of the stuff with the secret esper organization "claw" was lowkey boring. also they do like a fake-out death kinda with one of the characters at the end which i didnt like because the character only has like one moment and then they dont even do anything at the end kinda. it was just i didnt like it. also this series comes off as preachy sometimes but its forgivable because its done in such an earnest way. like they really really want the reader to care abt its characters and thats great.

mob psycho 100 really is such an inspirational series. its the only series that got even close to ashita no joe for how inspirational it was for me. mob psycho 100 has taught me to become more confident abt myself and be kinder to others because we're all the same human beings. Everyone deserves a chance at life. Everyone can change even the weakest of all. If someone like mob can change, then so can I because I am the protagonist of my own life!

Thank you so much Mob Psycho 100. and thank you to One for creating such a heartwarming manga. I'll cherish this series forever :]
