Today's song of the day is This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody) by the Talking Heads! this has gotta be my favorite talking heads song oh my god. and thats crazy cuz every talking heads song is a 10/10. i love the lyrics. it feels so sad but also lovely. and also this song really sounds like it couldve come out this current year in 2025. thats amazing

I feel like crying everytime i hear this song. its so simple but its so comforting. it feels like seeing ur family again after not having seen them for a long time and they give you a warm hug or going on a long road trip alone to get away from the place thats been stressing you and finding new paths for your life. 

Unironically one of my favorite songs ever of all time. I love you so much talking heads. they have been inspiring me so much lately. i want to start on my old hobbies again. i feel like making music and learning guitar again. except i wanna try learning bass this time.

i just remembered there are people out there that are actually scared of pirating and thinking that its actually illegal. like bro ur not gonna get arrested for watching some tv show on a pirated site 💀 these type of ppl actually make me kinda mad cuz they refuse to watch/listen to anything thats not neatly wrapped and ready to be shipped off to a site like netflix and spotify. sites like netflix dont even have many shows or movies like ur missing out on so much art just cuz u think pirating is gonna get u arrested like 💀💀

and the people who refuse to get into an artist because theyre not on spotify 💔they would never understand a shonentai fan's pain

finished steven universe

10/10 peak one of my fav cartoons ever.

ok but for real i did really enjoy it actually and it is one of my fav cartoons now. theres a lot of glaring problems with steven universe which im gonna explain later but i wanna say the good things first :)

ok first of all that ending was beautiful i cried i sobbed it was genuinely such a touching moment that final confrontation with steven and white diamond bro... the animation, the music, the whole message of that scene it was beautiful. just such a way to depict self love it made me sob so hard actually. unironically top 3 cartoon moments of all time. 

love the characters and how messy they are but still likeable pearl and rose my favs for real. but not just them almost every character is just so messy i love it.

i also just enjoyed the vibe(?) of the show idk thats probably just nostalgia but whatever. s2 and s3 were the best seasons. and steven universe genuinly has one of the best color direction of any cartoon. this and bee and puppycat were really popping off with their colors.

ok now lets talk abt the problems. omg steven universe actually has so many problems they werent lying. 

the biggest problem of this show is definitely the pacing and inconsistent tone. bruh why is steven just chilling in beach city after going through the most horrible, most traumatizing, most life changing moment in life like nothing happened. there were so many episodes like this in the show where steven just returns to normal again after something incredibly important happens it was just so jarringly bad.

and the pacing was so bad bro i know the show was cancelled and so they had to rush the ending so i cant really blame the writers for this but man it couldve been so good. the homeworld (final) arc shouldve been atleast an entire season long.

ok 2nd i dont like what they did with garnet, amethyst, and bismuths character. and also the diamonds character and their redemptions 

garnet after s1 her entire personality was just abt fusion like why she was such a fun and good character in s1 but then they reduced her to just knowing abt fusion why. 

amethyst she had an arc but idk it just feels like the writers didnt really care abt her like the other characters. her arc of overcoming her insecurities just didnt hit that well. 

and bismuth she was such a kind, caring, and interesting character and then the writers did absolutely nothing with her when she couldve been so much more interesting. i wanted to know more abt her history with the crystal gems and her relationship with rose it wouldve been so cool.

the diamonds redemption arc was so rushed its so crazy. steven really just talked to them once and then they stopped their mass colonization that lasted for millions of years. its such a shame cuz i actually think the diamonds are really cool characters with really cool designs and interesting lore. i would lowkey eat up a prequel series thats just abt the diamonds.

i wish this show wasnt cancelled man it couldve been so good. and also if they fixed some of the writing problems.

i have lots of other problems but this is getting so long so ill stop

steven universe is a 6.5/10 show if were being fr but it is also a truly special show tho i dont think another cartoon like this will ever appear again. like i wouldnt rate it that high but it has a special place in my heart. peak cartoon

cant stop thinking abt that one steven universe episode

broo i cant stop thinking abt that episode it was literally so perfect. i forgot to talk abt how much i loved the music in this ep. this song is so peak man. LISTENN especially the parts starting at 1:05 and that ending with 2:43 sooo gorgeous

the part at 1:05 literal goosebumps i swear. the scene is so shocking but the music is so beautiful it fits so well. its beautiful, so grand, and has a slight hint of melancholy to it which is just so perfect. u can really tell this is like the most important moment of all of steven universe. the true climax and the music reflects that so perfectly. its so crazy how this single steven universe episode just changes everything

i cant stop thinking abt this episode man it was genuinely so peak. god that montage at the end that shows all of pearl's memories. kills me everytime whenever theres a montage like that in a show/movie. i feel so much pain for pearl and all that grief and trauma she had to endure and keep it locked away for millennia. it makes me want to cry. pearl steven universe you will always be famous. she is unironically my favorite character of the show now.

i really cant get into kpop 💔

bro ive tried so hard for years to get into kpop but i just cant do it man. idk bro i think i just dont like the sound of kpop. ive tried with shinee and twice and man it just wont ever hit. i tried with those two groups because i see a lot of shonentai fans also like them but its not working for me. i want to like kpop so bad but i just cant 😭 

theres still like some kpop groups that i actually like tho. newjeans and aespa are really like the only ones that i actually like so theyre safe. but the other kpop groups man i just cant. especially the boy groups bro what the actual hell are they doing. how do ppl actually like kpop boy groups

just watched the best steven universe episode that people have been hyping up for years and oh my god it truly does live up to the hype. that episode was so amazing i cant wait to write about it later when i finish steven universe. but omg the plot twist, the way the episode unveils the mystery more and more as the episode goes on, the emotional payoff i literally almost cried, oh my goodness crewniverse cooked. i already knew what the plot twist was gonna be but it was done so well i cant even be mad. literal goosebumps bro. this episode just made me realize how much pain pearl has gone through. omg this entire episode mightve just made pearl my favorite character

i wanna make a story using this character. maybe something abt how theyre a former ace pilot from other planet that crash landed on new planet (maybe earth) where nothing exists anymore. no humans just manmade remains left. maybe some fish but all other animals are extinct. and the story is gonna be about how protag needs to get home so they try exploring the planet only to find it kinda enjoyable. and learning to love this place. and theme is gonna be abt how stuff is like always changing and stuff and how simple life can be better than other things or something idk. can u tell i was inspired by steven universe

hey guyss im alive. just wanna dump some thoughts ive been having.

yayeah its springtime i love spring so much bright sunny warm days are my favorite of all time. i hate winter so bad im so glad its spring now. i love all seasons except winter.

at school, were doing this animation project and im drawing like a paintbrush turning into a sword. is really cool im really proud of it i cant wait to post it here.

ive also been listening to alot more music lately and tryna branch out. trying to listen to a lot more albums. been listening to the talking heads and bjork lately and im gonna check out doechii's music later. im so glad i did this man cuz ive been listening to the same music for months now its time for a change. 

also im almost finished with steven universe!!! im on season 5 and its been really good so far. i dont get why people say s4 was bad i thought it was really good. the zoo arc was so fun and the last few episodes of s4 was so good omg the mystery the cliffhanger... peak. only problem i had with s4 was just a few boring/bad episodes that were not needed and also i would like arrange the episode order a bit because idk it was weird sometimes steven just traveled through billion lightyears of space and was forced to live in a zoo to rescue his dad and now hes back to doing goofy shit in beach city again lmaoo. anyways 1 more season left and a movie and steven universe future left... 😢💔

also i cant believe its 2025 and some grown adults still got beef with steven universe 💀 they especially hate steven for being annoying even tho hes a 13 yo kid whos been through tremendous trauma and constantly has to comfort all the adults around him because theyre all mentally ill. all steven did was say i love everyone and be cool af and the masses wanted him dead for it 💀
